In1995 the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles had a show for Daniel Buren. It consisted of about fifty green and white striped bus benches scattered about the city. I was fooling around with something called Macromedia Director back then, and I shot most of the bus benches and made a little presentation that had a map with clickable green dots which would show the photos of the benches. I showed it to someone at the museum and they didn’t know what to do with it, and that was that. Never a peep from Buren, either.
