The dreaded “Nine Negative Test.”

The upper left 4x5 negative was under exposed and under developed, and this proceeds to the bottom right negative which was over exposed and over developed.  Then you had to make prints to match the gray cards. The lesson:  be like Ansel Adams and expose for the darks and develop for the lights (over expose, under develop.)


It was a titanic pain in the ass, and because Fred Witters liked to play mind games with the students he made me do it four times.  Fuck you, Fred.
